Geographic scope: financial losses (Vermögensschäden) are covered worldwide. For personal injury, property damage and consequential financial loss claimed before US courts or based on a breach of US law, cover exists only in the following cases:
- participation in or conduct of business trips;
- participation in trade fairs, exhibitions or events;
- indirect exports of products or services to the USA (an indirect export exists where products or services have reached the USA without the insured having caused this).
Where the insurer is legally unable to provide contractually owed services abroad, those services are to be provided to the insured at the insured's registered seat. In that case only the insured themselves have a claim to performance.
Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Our services are directed exclusively at entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB (German Civil Code).
